A Google Ads MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code the tools to work in your Google Ads account: read campaign performance, dig through search terms, pull Keyword Planner ideas, review Google’s recommendations, launch search, display, Performance Max and Demand Gen campaigns, and pause or re-budget them. Creator OS includes one in its Ads add-on, next to Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and ChatGPT ads.

Google Ads (incl. MCC clients)Why talk to Google Ads instead of clicking through it
The Google Ads interface buries the answers that matter under a dozen tabs: which search terms spent money without converting, which keywords are close to their limits, which of Google’s recommendations are worth applying. An AI with direct tools can pull all of it in one pass and explain it in plain English. Writing ad copy is something language models are good at too, and Google’s limits (30-character headlines, 90-character descriptions) are exactly the kind of constraint an AI checks every time.
What you can do
- Performance: spend, clicks, conversions and cost per conversion per campaign, ad group and ad.
- Search terms: the actual queries that triggered your ads, to find negatives and new keywords.
- Keywords: your keywords with their stats.
- Keyword Planner ideas: new keyword ideas with volume, straight from Google.
- Recommendations: Google’s own suggestions, for your AI to sort into worth it and not.
- Create campaigns: search (with keywords, headlines and descriptions), display (with landscape and square images and a business name), Performance Max and Demand Gen.
- Manage: pause, resume, change budgets.
- Customer list audiences and the Conversions API.
- Live GAQL queries for anything the standard tools don’t cover.
- Manager accounts: every account you can reach, including clients under an MCC.

Prompts for Google Ads
- “List search terms from the last 30 days that spent over $20 with no conversions. Suggest negatives.”
- “Get Keyword Planner ideas for ‘social media scheduler for agencies’ in Canada and group them by intent.”
- “Go through Google’s recommendations and tell me which ones would actually help, with reasons.”
- “Write 15 headlines and 4 descriptions for my pricing page, all within Google’s limits.”
- “Create a search campaign for these keywords at $15 a day. Create it paused and show me everything first.”
Safety rails
- Every create is dry-run first with
validate_only, then confirmed with you. - New campaigns are created paused.
- Budgets are in whole units of your account currency: 15 means $15.00.
- Google allows about 15 live calls a minute. Hitting the limit returns a retry time instead of an error loop.
- A read-only connection only sees reporting tools.
Note that new campaigns can take up to about 3 hours to show metrics.
FAQ
Is this the same as Google’s own Ads API?
It runs on it. Creator OS holds the developer token and handles OAuth, so you don’t need to apply for API access.
Can I run Meta and Google ads from the same chat?
Yes. See the Meta Ads MCP guide and ads from your AI agent.
Docs?
The Ads guide covers every network.
