Social Media Analytics API: Every Platform’s Numbers in One Call

One social media analytics API for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Threads: per-post metrics, daily totals, followers and best times.

Creator OS · October 3, 2026 · 2 min read

Every platform reports differently: Instagram has insights, TikTok has video stats, YouTube has its own Analytics API, X has impressions behind a paid tier. A social media analytics API that normalises all of it lets you (or your AI agent) answer “what worked this week?” in one call instead of seven dashboards. Creator OS gives you per-post performance, daily account metrics, follower growth and best posting times across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Threads.

Seven platforms, one analytics shape

What you get

  • Per-post analytics: views, likes, comments, shares and engagement for every post, across platforms.
  • Daily metrics: account-level totals over time, for trend lines.
  • Follower stats: follower counts and growth across every connected account.
  • Best time to post: posting windows learned from your own accounts.
  • Link clicks: clicks on your trackable short links, tagged by source.

Three ways to read it

Ask your AI

With the MCP server connected, Claude or ChatGPT can call get_post_analytics, get_daily_metrics, get_follower_stats and get_best_time_to_post:

  • “Which 5 posts did best this month across all platforms, and what do they have in common?”
  • “Compare TikTok and Reels views for the same videos.”
  • “Chart follower growth per platform for the last 90 days.”
  • “When should I post on LinkedIn?”

The CLI

creatoros analytics:posts --pretty # per-post performance
creatoros analytics:daily --pretty # daily account metrics
creatoros analytics:best-time --pretty # best posting windows
creatoros accounts:follower-stats --pretty # followers everywhere

Drop --pretty for JSON, which agents and scripts consume directly.

The REST API

Same data over HTTP with one API key. See the analytics API reference and the post analytics recipe.

Reports an agent can write for you

  • Weekly recap: top posts, totals vs last week, one recommendation. Schedule it every Monday.
  • Format test: carousels vs Reels vs text posts, by engagement rate.
  • Hook analysis: group posts by their opening line and compare views.
  • Client reports for agencies, one per workspace. See agencies.

The analytics skill in the Creator OS Claude skills already turns the raw numbers into a readable report with trends and a recommendation.

Honest caveats

  • Platforms refresh their numbers on their own schedules, and some update once a day. Today’s numbers keep moving.
  • YouTube rounds public subscriber counts, so daily follower changes on YouTube can look jumpy.
  • Metrics aren’t perfectly comparable across platforms: a TikTok “view” and a LinkedIn “impression” measure different things. Compare a platform against itself over time.
