Post to All Social Media at Once: One Upload, Seven Platforms

Post to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Threads at once: one upload, per-platform captions, platform rules handled, from Claude or an API.

Posting the same thing to seven apps one by one takes 30 minutes and you’ll still forget one. To post to all social media at once, you upload the file once and send one request that fans out to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Threads, with each platform’s rules applied and, ideally, a caption written for each. Here’s how to do it with Creator OS from Claude, the CLI or the API, and how to avoid the classic cross-posting mistakes.

              upload once (med_...)
                      |
one request: platforms + per-platform captions
                      |
  +------+------+-----+-----+--------+--------+-------+
  v v v v v v v
Reel TikTok Short X LinkedIn FB Reel Threads
cover consent title thread first title topic
flags + pin items comment tag
One upload, seven native posts

Three ways to do it

1. Ask Claude or ChatGPT

Connect the Creator OS MCP server, then:

  • “Post launch.mp4 everywhere at 6pm. Write a caption tuned for each platform: short and punchy on TikTok, a bit longer on LinkedIn, a 4-post thread on X and Threads linking the video.”
  • “Post this announcement to LinkedIn, X, Threads and Facebook now.”

2. The CLI (one command)

creatoros media:upload ./launch.mp4            # -> med_...
creatoros posts:create --platforms instagram,tiktok,youtube,facebook \
--media med_... --text "We just open-sourced our video editor" \
  --scheduledAt 2026-10-10T18:00:00 --timezone America/New_York

Check the caption first with creatoros validate:post-length --text "..."; it tells you which platforms it’s too long for.

3. The API

One POST /v1/posts with "platforms": ["instagram","tiktok","youtube",...]. Networks you name that aren’t connected come back in missing_platforms and the rest still go out. For different captions per platform, use per-account targets with their own content. Docs: publish everywhere.

What gets handled per platform

  • Instagram: a vertical video becomes a Reel; images become a feed post or carousel.
  • TikTok: the required privacy and consent flags are filled in.
  • YouTube: a vertical short becomes a Short with a title; a landscape video becomes a regular upload.
  • Facebook: a vertical video becomes a Reel.
  • Covers: one cover image is sent where each network keeps it (Reel cover, TikTok cover, thumbnail on Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube).

Cross-posting mistakes to avoid

  • Identical captions everywhere. Hashtag walls look wrong on LinkedIn; corporate tone dies on TikTok. Let Claude adapt each one.
  • Watermarks. Don’t download your TikTok (with its watermark) and repost it to Reels. Post the original file everywhere.
  • Video too long for X. Standard X accounts cap video length at about 2 minutes 20 seconds. Send a cut-down teaser to X.
  • Links in Instagram captions. They don’t click. Use firstComment or a comment-to-DM funnel.
  • Posting all at the same minute forever. Fine to start; later, use each platform’s best time (get_best_time_to_post).

Text posts everywhere

For text, the strongest pattern is one idea, native formats: a thread on X and Threads, a single post on LinkedIn, a text post on Facebook. One prompt can produce and schedule all four.

Read the results in one place

“Which platform did best for the launch video?” pulls views and engagement from all seven. Over time that tells you where to spend your effort. See follower growth across platforms.
